Acer palmatum ‘Trompenburg’

A healthy, strong tree, the ‘Trompenburg’ grows vigorously in the first few years, so a close eye must be kept to pruning. It has a unique, cupped leaf shape, giving it an enriched, dimensional look and an elegant presentation. Foliage begins a quite bright scarlet, becoming a deeper burgundy purple into the fall. ‘Trompenburg’ is another tree on the higher end of the height scale, ranging 18-24 feet at full maturity.
