Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Viridis’

A green weeping Japanese maple, the ‘Viridis’ grows to form a true cascading mound. It reaches a height of 6 feet, after 10 years but can grow to be much wider, up to 10 feet. Green foliage turns to golden in the fall, with mere hints of ruby and ginger, making it a lovely contrast beside some of the darker red maples, like the ‘Red Dragon’. This maple may be pruned to have a variety of shapes, including mushroom caps and bonsai features.
