Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Tamukeyama’

One of the best upright, weeping laceleaf maples, it grows in a dome shape from 6 -8 feet tall after 10 years. The cascading branches can reach out to 12 feet wide: just lovely against a variety of backgrounds. Try planting them near a stream or pond, to showcase the cascading effect. Purple foliage appears in April and becomes a deep maroon by summer, leading up to a brilliant crimson show in the fall. This tree will tolerate more sun and drought in the summer than most Japanese maples, though it thrives best in partial shade.
